Supplier Selection Lead to join a leading medical device manufacturing organization in
Audubon, PA. The
Supplier Selection Lead will drive supplier identification, qualification, and selection efforts for critical manufacturing programs. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, evaluating supplier capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable production and sourcing solutions.
Responsibilities of the Supplier Selection Lead:- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine manufacturing and sourcing requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on technical capability, capacity, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Supply Chain teams to support supplier sourcing initiatives and project timelines.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to analyze requirements, track supplier performance, and support planning activities.
- Communicate directly with suppliers to assess production capabilities, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Lead supplier engagement efforts for new products and existing programs while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives.
Qualifications of the Supplier Selection Lead:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain, sourcing, purchasing, planning, manufacturing engineering, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Medical device, healthcare manufacturing, purchasing, or planning experience is preferred.
Compensation for the Supplier Selection Lead includes:- Salary range: $85,000 - $90,000
