Supplier Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Our Bethlehem facility is growing, and we are looking for a Supplier Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team!

The Supplier Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all material-related functions for their Business Unit, including purchasing, material planning and control, inventory management, shipping/receiving, and stockroom operations.

This role will develop and execute the Materials Management strategy in alignment with organizational and program objectives, focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance. Leads a multi-disciplinary team, establishing clear goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Location: Bethlehem, PA (on-site)

Salary: $110,000 to $155,000

Your Challenge
  • Manage purchasing activities to ensure timely procurement of materials, components and services required to support production and aftermarket operations.
  • Establish purchasing policies, sourcing strategies, and negotiation frameworks consistent with compliance requirements and company cost targets.
  • Oversee the development and execution of material requirements planning, demand forecasting, and production scheduling processes to ensure accurate, on-time material availability.
  • Ensure MRP planning parameters remain optimized to balance working capital and production needs.
  • Oversee all inventory control processes, ensuring accuracy, cycle count performance, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Develop and enforce inventory strategies to minimize excess and obsolete stock while protecting production continuity. Implement continuous improvement methods to increase inventory accuracy and reduce handling costs.
  • Manage all inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, freight and transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with export/import regulations, hazardous material requirements, and customer flow-down specifications.
  • Oversee stockroom and warehouse operations, ensuring efficient material flow, optimized layout, accuracy of transactions, and adherence to safety standards. Ensures timely processing of receipts, inspections and material movements within the ERP system.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget, capital planning, and cost-reductions initiatives.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Mentor develop and evaluate staff.

  • Deep experience with enterprise resource planning systems and warehouse management systems.
  • Proven track record in inventory optimization, supplier management, and material availability performance.
