Requisition ID: 67105 Title:Supervisor - Family Office Accounting & Reporting

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take on a hands-on leadership role within Arthrex's Family Office Accounting team. The Supervisor will play a key role in the close, reporting, and payment processes for family office entities while also guiding team members and supporting process improvements. This role is ideal for someone with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information, prioritize competing demands, and ensure both individual and team deadlines are met in a dynamic environment.

Main Objective: Primary responsibilities include the accounting close process, financial statement analysis, reporting including consolidation activities for family office entities, oversee accounts payable, and managing fixed assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the general ledger close process for all family office entities including but not limited to recording journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, resolution of reconciling differences, consolidation, prepare/issue financial statement ensuring completeness/accuracy and, review of equity percentages to ensure in-line with expectations.
  • Review and analyze transactions and accounts using technical judgement to ensure transactions are recorded according to US GAAP and document any deviations.
  • Manage fixed assets for entities related to the family office including asset creation, disposal, running reports and oversee uploading of the related depreciation for book and tax.
  • Oversee and supervise accounts payable and accounting staff, provide training and guidance
  • Manage Accounts Payable for the family office and all related entities, vendor management including contract renewals and billing issues. prepare ad hoc financial reports as needed
  • Assures that financial reports and presentations are accurate and identifies, resolves, and implements processes to mitigate and prevent problems and errors.
  • Eliminates monthly close inefficiencies by reducing process times and works with others in the department to streamline processes and resolve process bottlenecks and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Maintain and oversee procedure write-ups and checklists for the monthly close process, policy, and procedure
  • Maintain monthly close checklist and oversee signoff process is completed timely by partnering with the family office team.
  • Partner with tax team to support incoming tax requests relating to accounting of family office entities
  • Prepare executive reporting packages and presentations on an on-going basis
  • The position may mentor others in the department.
  • Other ad-hoc projects


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • MBA/CPA Preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of supervising experience preferred


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Ability to work on confidential information
  • Knowledge of current US GAAP regulations regarding financial reporting
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously with high attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Big picture orientation with attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities while keeping sight of big-picture objectives
  • Highly adaptable with excellent time-management and follow-through skills
