OverviewThe Supervisor, Data Quality Assurance, will lead quality monitoring, auditing, and review activities to ensure ETL and application processes are accurate, consistent, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards and member and provider expectations. This role will oversee quality assurance staff, establish work priorities, monitor performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and partner with operational leaders to address quality issues and reduce risk. The Supervisor, Data Quality Assurance will also use quality data and reporting to identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and improve operational performance and the member experience.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Operations & Oversight
- Supervises daily quality assurance activities, including project testing approvals, audits, monitoring, and oversight.
- Establishes team priorities, assigns work, balances workloads, and ensures quality activities are completed accurately and within established timeframes.
- Develops and maintains quality assurance processes, processes, standards, and workflows to support consistence execution across Digital Technology Department.
- Monitors quality results and identifies trends, recurring errors, process gaps, and opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service outcomes.
- Reviews complex or escalated quality issues and provides guidance to staff on appropriate resolution and documentation.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and audit trails to support internal controls, operational requirements, regulatory reviews, and accreditation activities.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, direction, and support of Quality Assurance team members.
- Establishes clear performance expectations and monitors individual and team performance against quality, productivity, accuracy, and testing best practices.
- Identifies training needs, conducts, regular performance discussions and provides timely feedback, recognition, and developmental guidance.
- Participates in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of Quality Assurance team members.
Quality Reporting & Communication
- Reviews and analyzes quality data, audits results, error trends, and performance metrics to identify areas requiring attention.
- Prepares and communicates quality results, trends, findings, and recommendations to operational leaders and other stakeholders.
- Ensures quality issues and significant trends are appropriately escalated based on established thresholds and business requirements.
- Maintains reporting and tracking mechanisms used to monitor corrective actions, quality improvement activities, and performance against established goals.
- Communicates quality standards and expectations to operational teams and reinforces consistent application of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, quality management, public health, or related field with 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, health plan operations, healthcare operations, compliance, auditing, or related field
- OR associate degree in business administration, healthcare administration, quality management, public health, or related field with 6+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, health plan operations, healthcare operations, compliance, auditing, or related field
- OR high school equivalency with 9+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality improvement, health plan operations, healthcare operations, compliance, auditing, or related field
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in SQL, analytical software, query tools.
- Knowledge of Quality assurance, quality control, and testing best practices.
- Knowledge of Health insurance operations, regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and documentation practices that support audit readiness.
- Working knowledge of Quality measurement, root cause analysis, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement methods that enhance quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Working knowledge of performance management practices, including coaching, employee development, and performance monitoring.
- Prior experience analyzing quality data, performance metrics, and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prior experience Using reporting and business tools to analyze performance data and communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Prior experience managing priorities, resources, and competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining accountability for quality, productivity, accuracy, and service standards.
- Ability to analyze complex information and exercise sound judgment to solve problems and make business decisions.
- Ability to build effective relationships across the organization and communicate complex quality, compliance, and operational concepts to diverse audiences.
