About the Role
We are seeking a licensed physician to serve as Supervising Physician for our telemedicine practice, providing
clinical oversight and collaborative supervision for a team of 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs). This role ensures high-quality, compliant, and safe
patient care across our virtual care platform while supporting APPs in their clinical decision-making and
professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision & Oversight • Provide collaborative/supervisory oversight for up to 12 APPs in accordance with state-specific
scope-of-practice and supervision ratio requirements • Conduct regular chart reviews (random and targeted) per state and payer requirements • Be available for real-time consultation during scheduled shifts for urgent clinical questions, escalations, or
complex cases
Quality & Compliance • Ensure all supervised care meets clinical quality standards, evidence-based guidelines, and company
protocols • Maintain compliance with state medical board supervision requirements (varies by state - physician must
track ratios, geographic restrictions, and documentation standards per jurisdiction)
Required • MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license in Texas • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical practice experience post-residency • Prior experience supervising NPs/PAs in a clinical setting • Active DEA registration (if overseeing controlled substance prescribing) • Strong understanding of telemedicine regulations, state supervision ratios, and collaborative practice
