Full Job Description
Senior Superintendent

This position is based out of our Raleigh, NC regional office.

As a Senior Superintendent, you'll take ownership of the job site from day one - leading trades, subcontractors, and project teams to translate contract scope into safe, quality, on-schedule work in the field. You're the calm, clear voice ensuring every install correlates back to the plan.

Beyond the day-to-day, you'll own the CPM schedule, drive quality and safety culture, and develop the next generation of Samet field leaders. If you thrive on real ownership and want to build both projects and people, this is your role.

What You'll Do
  • Direct and supervise all construction activities on assigned projects, coordinating schedules and sequencing across multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure work quality and code compliance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations, leading daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
  • Coordinate with AHJs and third-party inspectors on inspections and approvals, and ensure compliance with local building codes and permits.
  • Own and manage the CPM schedule, from baseline development through daily updates and implementation.
  • Lead weekly coordination, pre-install, and schedule meetings that keep field activities on track.
  • Review subcontractor performance against deadlines to confirm manpower, equipment, and materials support schedule-driven deliverables.
  • Oversee punch lists to ensure all items are resolved before project closeout.
  • Champion quality initiatives, setting expectations for field inspections, observations, and required documentation.
  • Partner with the Project Manager to develop subcontractor scopes of work and assist in PMP development.
  • Set clear performance expectations for direct reports and support their career growth and development.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • 7-10 years of construction experience, including 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation and meeting facilitation abilities.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
