Superintendent Location: Victoria, BC Employment Type: Full-time Union, Permanent Compensation: $59.19/hr. & comprehensive benefits Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations across our projects and worksites. Reporting to the Operations / Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for leading crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in building strong, capable teams. Key Responsibilities - Plan, direct, and oversee daily field operations across one or more active sites - Supervise, schedule, and mentor crews, foremen, and subcontractors - Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and logistics to meet project timelines - Ensure all work meets quality, budget, and schedule requirements - Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company health & safety policies - Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings - Liaise with clients, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track - Monitor progress, track costs and productivity, and report on key metrics - Identify and resolve operational issues proactively - Maintain accurate site documentation and daily reports Qualifications - 5+ years of supervisory experience in industrial, construction, or related field operations - Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage crews - Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and occupational health & safety practices - Solid planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities - Effective communication and problem-solving skills - Relevant safety certifications / tickets an asset (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, WHMIS) - Valid BC driver's licence and a clean driving record - Ability to work on-site and travel between locations as required What We Offer - Competitive salary based on experience - Comprehensive benefits package (extended health, dental, and vision) - Stable, full-time work with a growing company - Opportunities for professional development and advancement - A supportive team that puts safety and quality first How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to [redacted] with the subject line "Superintendent Application."
