Job Overview

The Superintendent - Electrical is responsible for field operations in assigned areas or aspects of the project. He/she ensures the work is performed in a safe, timely, profitable, and ethical manner, in accordance with contract documents, design, budget, and schedule. He/she directly supervises field labor forces and Assistant Superintendents. The Superintendent - Electrical is responsible for planning, directing, and guiding the business goals, plans, and processes for the electrical scope of work. He/She is responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective execution of electrical and instrument work.

 

Superintendent - Electrical Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of being a Safety and QAQC Cultural knowledge
  • 10+ years of proven MEP construction experience
  • 7+ years of electrical trade specific knowledge
  • 5+ years experience managing schedules and subcontractors, and coordinating with architectural trades
  • 5+ years experience working with contracts and exhibits
  • 5+ years experience with detailed planning and demonstrated ability to understand plans and specs 
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 12 years prior relevant experience

Work Environment/Conditions: This job is performed both in the office and in the field on an active construction site. Field work requires experience and confidence working in and around heavy industrial equipment and systems, which includes average to loud noises, the ability to traverse uneven grounds, and possible outdoor weather conditions. Vision requires the capacity for close and far vision, the ability to adjust focus, depth perception, and peripheral vision. This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.  Employee must be able to navigate the jobsite and must comply with all Company safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite.  Heavy equipment may be used and employee needs to be able to lift weighty objects.
