Full Job Description
Job Summary
  • The BVG Field Superintendent manages field operations and projects for the assigned area.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage field operations for commercial site development projects form inception through completion.
  • Help manage multiple projects
  • Ownership of sourcing and hiring field staff
  • Overall job performance from the field standpoint
  • Ability to manage vendors, field staff, and work as the POC for our GCs
  • Attend jobsite meetings regularly and work with GCs to resolve issues
  • Maintain job schedules and work through issues as they arise
  • Ability to read site documents, site plans, and understand construction processes
  • Work independently and as part of a team


Education and Experience:
  • Have knowledge of heavy iron equipment
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and specs
  • Minimum of 5 years in commercial landscape installation.
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in equipment operating and maintenance
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus


Physical Demands/Requirements:
  • Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
  • Able to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
  • You are able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
  • Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur.


Work Environment:
  • Ability to work outdoors/indoors in moderate to extreme weather conditions (e.g., temperatures more than 1006F, temperatures below 326F, various levels of humidity)
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
  • Work outdoors near automotive traffic, bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical and/or electrical hazards.
  • Ability to work in environments where extended periods of loud noise are present.
  • Ability to work in environments where exposure to allergens such as pollen and rag weed, insects such as bees and spiders and reptiles such as lizards and snakes.


Compensation Pay Range:

$85,000-$95,000/year depending on experience
