  • Drive quality, efficiency and productivity of piling, foundation and support crews while maintaining safe work execution.
  • Direct Foreperson(s) on productivity issues and monitor work performance, working with the Foreperson(s) and crews to overcome ground condition, access, equipment, sequencing and constructability challenges.
  • Follow project plans, specifications, geotechnical recommendations, pile schedules and budget requirements while ensuring crews perform to meet production and quality goals.
  • Assist Foreperson(s) to translate drawings, specifications, geotechnical information and work requirements into a prioritized daily and weekly work plan.
  • Understand the scope and sequencing of piling and foundation work, plan and prioritize activities, and effectively redirect crews and equipment to minimize downtime on site.
  • Work with the project team to identify labour, equipment and subcontractor requirements, including cranes, drill rigs, pile driving equipment, vibratory hammers, excavators, pumps, compressors, concrete suppliers and testing agencies.
  • Coordinate with survey, engineering, quality, subcontractors and suppliers to support accurate layout, installation tolerances, inspections, testing and timely resolution of field issues.
  • Build and maintain a strong functional team through instruction, training, coaching and team building, with a focus on safe and efficient foundation construction practices.
  • Ensure completed work meets project quality standards, including pile location, elevation, plumbness, embedment, refusal criteria, drilling depth, socket requirements, reinforcement placement, concrete placement and foundation tolerances, as applicable.
  • Oversee the approval of daily production records and reporting on work progress, including:
  • Daily pile driving, drilling, concrete placement, quality control inspection and checklist records.
  • Record and report non-conformances, deficiencies, violations or disciplinary actions in accordance with company and project requirements.
  • HSE inspections and reports specific to piling, foundation, excavation, lifting and equipment-related activities.
  • Project specific forms, inspections, testing records, pile logs, as-built information and tracking requirements.
  • Approve field logs and ensure each Foreperson submits accurate daily records, including quantities, equipment hours, crew time, phase codes and reported issues.
  • Review field logs with the Project Manager/Leads to ensure accuracy of phase codes, production quantities, cost coding and reported project impacts.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
