Job DescriptionWe are looking for a
Structural Engineer with a minimum 7 years of experience for our LA - Woodland Hills office, who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. The successful individual will be a licensed engineer with solid experience in the design of steel and concrete substation structures. Experience with other buildings and structure types is also welcome.
In This Role You Will- Add expertise to our structural group in substation structures and foundation designs. Have the ability to work on many other exciting projects energy related as well as other markets.
- Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & institutional building projects.
- Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings.
- Lead project teams of engineers, designers and drafters to execute structural designs.
- Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design.
- Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
- Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients.
- Work closely with the Discipline Manager to support the needs of the department, projects, and growth objectives.
Compensation and Benefits- Approximate Base Salary - $100,000 - $150,000+ based on experience.
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.

QualificationsEssential Qualifications- B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
- 7 or more years of experience with design of concrete and steel structures.
- Substation structure and foundation design experience.
- Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight.
- Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications- PE or SE registration in any state.
- Registered CA Structural Engineer.
- M.S. degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Experience with SCE, LADWP, PG&E substation standards.
- Multi-discipline project management experience.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE).
