Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning schedules for subcontract scope. Works closely with construction, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and project management to ensure scope is delivered safely, on time, and within project objectives. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Level 3, Level 4, and detailed execution schedules for subcontract scope.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, earned quantities, and manpower trends.
  • Perform critical path and near-critical path analysis.
  • Assist area managers and construction teams in developing recovery and mitigation plans.
  • Support look-ahead planning (90-day, 3-week, and monthly forecasts).
  • Coordinate schedule updates with subcontractors and construction supervision.
  • Generate progress and performance reporting packages.
  • Monitor schedule impacts from design changes, constraints, and field conditions.
  • Support quantity tracking, earned value, and construction performance reporting.
  • Participate in work package planning and Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) processes.
  • Analyze subcontractors schedules for alignment with the project schedule and construction interface
  • Support the subcontracts team with planning, developing dashboards, presentations, and coordination with the subcontractors


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to review subcontract documents, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support subcontract formation and administration activities.
  • Basic understanding of commercial, contractual, and business principles, including interest in procurement, supply chain, contract management, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn contract management and digital supply chain systems while demonstrating attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting, purchasing, and material management practices, applicable government and commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures, and work practices
