Your JobDEPCOM Power is seeking a Subcontract Manager for electrical scope. This is a discipline role covering electrical subcontracting across our portfolio, from scope development and bid evaluation through negotiation and change management. Located in Scottsdale, AZ, this position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
What You Will Do- Develop and evaluate electrical scopes of work and identify gaps before award
- Evaluate subcontractor bids, pricing and execution capability, and provide award recommendations to Project Management
- Lead commercial negotiations with electrical subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing and change orders against the project estimate
- Own and develop DEPCOM's relationships with electrical subcontractors, serving as their primary point of contact across the portfolio
- Identify and qualify new electrical contractors and maintain a capable, resilient partner base
- Monitor work concentration across the electrical partner base
- Support Project Management on subcontract versus self-perform strategy
- Provide market intelligence on electrical contractor capability, capacity and pricing
- Escalate higher-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director of Subcontracts
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- Experience in electrical construction gained with an electrical contractor, as a subcontracts manager at an EPC, or in construction management, field engineering or project engineering at an EPC
- Experience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders directly with contractors or suppliers
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Experience developing or evaluating scopes of work and pricing for electrical construction
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifcations)- Utility-scale solar or electrical construction experience
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term contractor or supplier relationships
- Working knowledge of electrical balance of system, DC and AC collection systems, trenching and ground grid
- Familiarity with high voltage scope and with directional boring
- Experience with commissioning and testing
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business or a related field
