Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience (3 years with a Master's, 1 year with a PhD).
• Proficiency in statics, solid mechanics, and free-body diagrams.
• Experience with finite element modeling tools (e.g., NX/Nastran, ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Skilled in a 3D CAD package (e.g., Solidworks, NX, CATIA V5).
• Basic understanding of metallic and composite materials manufacturing.
• Experience in programming (e.g., Python, Julia, VBA, Matlab).

Responsibilities

• Participate in and present during design reviews, providing feedback to teams.
• Evaluate structural integrity using finite element analysis and classical methods.
• Perform layouts and sizing for next-gen propulsion components and systems.
• Provide testing support for flight projects and related studies.
• Share structural engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop material allowables from innovative materials.
• Create analysis tools for design sizing, including scripts and spreadsheets.
• Support customers with product integration challenges.
