Your RoleAs a Structural Engineer in our Restoration & Renewal Practice, you will apply engineering principals to assess existing structures and participate in designing innovative solutions for needed repairs, expansions, renovations and/or adaptive reuse. Projects will span the Metro NY area, providing the opportunity to work on diverse structures of varying types, sizes and ages across the region. With support from your manager and team, you will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, ideal for engineers eager to grow their technical and creative skills.
What You'll Do- Participate in site inspections, condition assessments, and construction observation involving reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber, masonry or other structural materials.
- Work with your team to conduct structural analyses, diagnostic evaluations and structural design required to repair or alter existing buildings/structures.
- Participate in preparing clear, detailed reports and drawings.
- Learn and apply best practices in repair, reinforcement and renovation strategies.
- Gain experience coordinating/communicating with in-house staff, other consultants and contractors.

What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior internships or other practical exposure to structural engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with structural analysis tools (such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, RISA-3D, PCA software) and BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD).
- Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and eagerness to grow professionally.
- Detail-oriented approach, curiosity, and ability to apply engineering fundamentals to complex problems.
- Ability to travel to and work on site at various project locations throughout the NY Metro area.
CompensationThe rate for this position generally is $77,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New Jersey Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
