This role involves assessing reinforced concrete, structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, and mass timber structures situated in seismically active and typhoon-prone coastal environments. Perform direct rating inspections of facility structural components utilizing the USACE Sustainment Management System (SMS) BUILDER methodology, including assessing foundations, basement construction, superstructures, exterior closures, roofing, and interior staircases.
  • Data Collection & Deliverables: Enter collected facility component data, structural conditions, and material quantities into the Enterprise Sustainment Management System (E-SMS) within 90 days of completing each site visit.
  • Concealed Components & Deficiencies: Determine the life cycle and next renewal needs for concealed or non-accessible structural members based on building age, environmental exposure, and available maintenance records.
