Structural Engineer / Concrete PE to become its internal structural engineering resource. This role can be based in Fort Worth, TX, or performed remotely anywhere in the U.S. and offers a rare opportunity for an experienced engineer to bring a previously outsourced function in-house, work directly with company leadership, and have significant technical autonomy and visibility.
What You'll Do as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:- Analyze and design concrete structures supporting industrial and commercial construction projects.
- Perform structural calculations and develop engineering solutions for concrete applications.
- Prepare engineering drawings, construction documents, calculations, and supporting technical documentation.
- Take ownership of structural engineering work currently performed by outside engineering consultants.
- Serve as the company's primary internal resource for structural engineering and concrete design questions.
- Evaluate project requirements and recommend practical, constructible engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to incorporate engineering considerations into project planning and execution.
- Work directly with the Chief Estimator, CEO, and technical leadership on project needs.
- Apply structural engineering principles with an understanding of how concrete work is actually constructed in the field.
- Help establish processes and standards for a new internal engineering function.
- Provide technical guidance as the company continues expanding its industrial and commercial concrete portfolio.
- Over time, help shape how the organization approaches engineering and design internally.
Must-Haves as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Professional structural engineering experience with meaningful exposure to concrete design.
- Hands-on experience analyzing and designing reinforced concrete structures and/or concrete systems.
- Strong understanding of concrete design, behavior, and construction.
- Experience personally completing structural calculations and developing construction or engineering documents.
- Ability to independently evaluate project requirements and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
- Technical depth to operate as the primary in-house structural engineering resource.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with construction, estimating, operations, and executive leadership.
- Comfortable working independently without the infrastructure of a large engineering department.
Nice-to-Haves as the Structural Engineer / Concrete PE:- Structural Engineer (SE) designation.
- Experience with slab-on-grade, concrete flooring, or related slab systems.
- Industrial warehouse or distribution center project experience.
- Specialty concrete subcontractor experience.
- Background designing concrete for large industrial or commercial facilities.
- Experience working directly with contractors, subcontractors, estimators, and construction operations teams.
- Previous experience serving as an autonomous senior technical resource.
- Experience translating structural design requirements into practical field solutions.

- Initial compensation target of $110,000-$150,000, with meaningful flexibility for highly qualified Structural PEs whose market compensation exceeds that range.
