Full Job Description
Location: Kelowna Office - 1626 Richter Street, Suite 214, Kelowna BC V1Y 2M3 Start Date: Immediately Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (Dependent on experience). Candidate Profile As a member of our building science & restoration team, you will apply your skills to solve problems in an existing building environment. Our work enhances resilient design, and promotes extending the service life of existing buildings, thereby reducing embodied carbon in our built environment. Your success will be built on forging relationships with clients and staff alike; demonstrating responsiveness through situational awareness; technical excellence based on creative thinking, while remaining practical; and leveraging the knowledge around you and the experience you bring to the table. Key Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: - Work closely with Project Engineers within the project team environment, through the life cycle of a project from conceptual and preliminary stages of the design through to completion. - Engage in site investigation, evaluation of existing buildings, preparation of reports and studies - Structural engineering of existing building components including architectural features, building equipment, and building enclosure components. - Structural analysis of existing building structure for revised loading conditions, and seismic upgrade situations. - Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines to facilitate projects as prime consultant.
