Full Job Description
TLDR: You would advise the world's most important technology and AI companies on their most transformational questions. You would be joining a team / community where you can build a career as a true industry strategist and make a lasting impact on yourself & the market.

You Are:

A senior strategy advisor with professional experience working in the tech industry (Software, Hyperscalers, and AI-native companies). You are passionate about the industry and excited to tackle new problems without a playbook each day. You are energized by working in fast-moving, complex environment that is changing constantly. You are easily able to harness that complexity and define actionable strategies that your clients can execute at scale. You keep up with the market trends but also actively shape how your clients stay ahead. You thrive in ambiguity, support + grow the teams around you, and build the kind of trusted client relationships that last well beyond a single engagement. As a Principal Director you are a true Subject Matter Expert, bringing deep domain judgment that shapes direction and ambition.

The Work:
  • Serve as the senior strategic advisor to our most important clients when the stakes are highest - defining strategies and roadmaps that help technology companies stay ahead; spanning product strategy, AI adoption, data center strategy and implementation, total cost of ownership for AI, and go-to-market planning.
  • Shape the strategic choices defining the next generation of technology companies; where to play, how to win, how AI changes the business, and what capabilities and operating model are required to lead.
  • Size markets, model financial scenarios, and build the business cases that support major client decisions; from new product investments to large-scale infrastructure builds to operating model changes.
  • Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities across the business including AI-related spend, infrastructure utilization, and operational overhead.
  • Build the analytical foundation for client decisions; synthesizing market dynamics, competitive signals, financial data, and operational inputs into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Develop client-ready materials that communicate complex ideas simply and drive decisions at the executive level.
  • Crack the industry's most complex challenges - platform scalability, ecosystem monetization, AI-driven developer enablement - by building ironclad business cases and delivering insights that inspire confident, decisive action.
  • Build and sustain Accenture's most strategic client relationships at the executive level - becoming the trusted thought partner that C-suite leaders call before they call anyone else.
  • Define the intellectual frontier of our practice - lead the creation of breakthrough thought leadership, represent Accenture at premier industry forums, and help shape the future of technology companies.
  • Develop the next generation of senior strategists - invest in the talent pipeline, model what great looks like, and build a team that consistently punches above its weight.
  • Meaningfully contribute to work products at critical moments (e.g., problem framing, key POVs, executive narratives).
  • Distinguish your contribution as selective and high-impact.
  • Elevate thinking, challenge assumptions, and materially strengthen outcomes when stakes are highest.
  • Travel: Average 40 to 50% (up to 80% as needed).

Here's What You Need:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in strategy in the tech industry or at a consulting firm.

Bonus Points If:
  • You have an MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Strong client communication skills with a proven ability to influence and inspire senior executives.
  • A proven track record of delivery on complex, high-impact client engagements where AI played a central role.
  • Hands-on experience applying generative AI, machine learning, or AI-powered platforms to solve real business problems.
  • Prior experience driving insights using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx) and analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with AI development ecosystems, LLM-based tooling, or AI platform strategies is a strong plus.
