About the RoleSeen Health exists so seniors can age in place with dignity and truly be seen. Because we both deliver care and carry the risk for it, our care model, operations, and economics have to work as one. Our promise for culturally competent, high-touch care is only sustainable if all three hold.
Strategy & Operations is the team we point at our hardest problems and biggest bets, regardless of org chart. Today, that means making our center run better and growing it from 400 to 500 participants. Soon, it also means launching new centers, integrating partners and acquisitions, and deciding what we build, buy, or partner for, without losing what makes Seen Health different.
This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with sharp intuition for what drives clinical outcomes for frail seniors, how operations really work on the floor, and where the affordability levers are. Agents can run a project plan. We need someone who knows which project to run, which to kill, and what the answer probably is before the analysis is done. You'll work directly with senior leaders across clinical, finance, health plan, growth, and technology.
What You'll DoSharpen the care model - Take internal workflows from 0 -> 1-> n. Many of our workflows were built fast to get us live. Help the ones that work harden, standardize, and scale across teams and sites, so they hold up as we grow without adding headcount one-for-one.
- Build what's still unbuilt. Many surface areas in our care model remain open problem spaces (e.g. utilization management, clinical pathways, call center). Define the problem, build the first version, and prove it improves outcomes and bends cost. Then decide with leadership whether to run it, hand it off, or move on.
- Decide what we insource, hybridize, or outsource, and how each capability flexes across standardization and local adaptation. Weigh outcomes, cost, and oversight, and contribute to the playbook for launching new markets and service lines.
- Build agents and automations yourself for high-leverage workflows, and set standards for testing, monitoring, and ROI. Work with compliance on HIPAA-covered tools, BAAs, and human-in-the-loop review for clinical and regulatory decisions.
Run key operations and build the economics view- Take on operations that sit between care delivery and the health plan. When a workflow needs an owner to get it lean, automated, and audit-ready, you build it, run it until it's stable, and hand it off.
- Build medical economics visibility. Develop MLR and participant- and cost-of-service-level P&Ls and the review cadence around them. Link clinical and operational changes to cost PMPM and capitation economics, and know why the numbers moved before anyone asks.
Expand what works- Lead integration where complexity is high. Make multiple departments, partners, and entities operate as one system across new service lines, acquired practices, and partners. Know which work needs orchestration and which doesn't.
- Stand up what we decide to launch. Work with Growth and Business Development to pressure-test new centers, markets, service lines, partnerships, and acquisitions. Once we commit, own the launch plan, resourcing, and operating readiness through stabilization and handoff.
Qualifications- At least 3 years in managed care operations experience spanning care delivery and health plan operations, ideally both. You understand how provider-side and plan-side work interact under risk.
- 3-7 years of healthcare experience with a real spike in at least one US healthcare domain. You're a go-to expert in either care delivery, utilization or care management, risk adjustment, rate setting, health plan operations, or healthcare finance, and you can work credibly across the rest.
