Drive Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Performance as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist!PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a results-driven
Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support global sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and procurement operations. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Contracts, and Legal teams to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure compliance throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
What You'll Do Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management - Execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and annual operating plans.
- Lead supplier negotiations focused on cost, quality, delivery, and performance improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Support supplier onboarding and ongoing supplier management activities.
Contract & Compliance Administration - Prepare, review, and administer:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Contract amendments
- Novations
- Assignments and assumptions
- Manage supplier compliance activities, including:
- Extended Terms Requests (ETRs)
- Supplier Scorecards
- FAIRs
- Fair & Reasonable Price Justifications (FRPJs)
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contractual requirements.
Procurement Operations & Analytics - Coordinate RFQ activities and supplier bid evaluations.
- Support should-cost analysis and pricing validation efforts.
- Analyze demand, spend, and supplier performance data.
- Develop recommendations that support sourcing decisions and cost reduction initiatives.
- Resolve supplier portal, purchase order, and system-related issues.
Data Management & Reporting - Maintain supplier, pricing, contract, and material master data.
- Utilize SAP and contract management systems to ensure data integrity.
- Support reporting, KPI analysis, and sourcing performance reviews.
- Provide business insights through data-driven analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Contracts, and Legal teams.
- Support strategic initiatives and operational improvement efforts.
- Drive sourcing excellence through effective stakeholder management and communication.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in:
- Business
- Supply Chain
- Finance
- Engineering
- Related field
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Strategic Sourcing
- Procurement
- Supply Chain
- Commodity Management
- Supplier negotiation and commercial relationship management experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with:
- SAP
- eSourcing platforms
- RFQ tools
- Contract Lifecycle Management systems
- Aerospace, manufacturing, or complex supply chain environment experience.
- Knowledge of supplier compliance and contract administration processes.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Professional certifications such as:
- Strong business and financial acumen.
