Strategic Sourcing Specialist

KREBS Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves (PCV)

We are looking for a highly motivated Global Logistics Specialist for the PCV Business Line of FLS. In collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing Manager and Global Product Line Managers, this role will play a crucial role in managing supplier scheduling, boosting PCV order intake, enhancing profitability, optimizing inventory levels, and reducing lead times for our customers through strategic supply chain initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, fostering close collaboration with regional order execution teams, overseeing material testing, and making informed global tooling decisions to ensure optimal purchasing mix.

Essential Job Functions
• Primary point of contact for global suppliers & regional procurement.
• Manage supplier scheduling - tracks open orders and actions shortages, due for dispatch, past due, and cancellations.
• Work with the local buyers to update the ERP system with scheduling information from the global suppliers.
• Collaborate with key suppliers to develop strategic price lists and frame agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that drive optimal cost savings and value for the organization.
• Evaluate and assess new and existing suppliers based on spend analysis and global demand planning feedback.
• Oversee supplier performance by monitoring cost, lead time, quality, and sustainability aspects to maintain a strong supplier base.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication and collaboration.
• Collaborate with GPLM, Product Development, Sales, and Procurement to determine optimal tooling locations and support effective sourcing strategies.
• Drive material and first article testing at customer sites in coordination with Sales, GPLM, and Product Development teams.
• Utilize data from current material trials to make informed sourcing decisions, considering factors such as trial results, market trends, and supplier capabilities.
• Work closely with Sales to collect and analyze data on material performance, providing insights to GPLM, the sales force and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Product Sourcing Plans (PSP) templates, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals, and serving as a framework for tailored sourcing strategies in each region.
• Engage with regional order execution teams and PCV heads to establish region-specific sourcing strategies, while holding regions accountable for executing these strategies.
• Develop sourcing plans for service centers around the world. This involves coordinating with different regions to identify sourcing opportunities, establish sourcing strategies, and track the implementation and effectiveness of these plans.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field and 5+ yrs experience
• Proven networking, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Proactive, self-driven work ethic and the ambition to take full ownership of responsibilities.
• Ability to drive solutions and eliminate inefficient processes.
• Desire to continuously learn and develop new and existing skills.
• Passion for collaboration, innovation and taking on challenges in a dynamic environment
