Job Description:
- Design and implement standardized cloud storage architectures across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Develop and enforce governance, security, and compliance controls for cloud storage services
- Support application onboarding, ensuring alignment with storage standards and best practices
- Engineer and manage cloud-native storage patterns, including:
- Object storage (S3, Blob, GCS)
- File services (managed NFS/SMB)
- Block storage for cloud workloads
- Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud storage solutions
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates (Terraform) for consistent deployments
- Automate provisioning and lifecycle management of storage resources
- Partner with DevOps and platform teams to integrate storage into CI/CD pipelines
- Monitor usage and enforce cost management and optimization strategies
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement across cloud storage services
Key Responsibilities - Establish reference architectures and design standards for cloud storage
- Implement policy-driven governance (security, access controls, encryption, retention)
- Enable self-service provisioning capabilities for application teams
- Ensure alignment with enterprise risk, security, and compliance frameworks
- Support multi-cloud and hybrid storage integration patterns
- Provide technical guidance and support for large-scale cloud adoption initiatives
Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or storage engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of cloud storage services (object, file, block )
Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of experience designing and managing cloud-based storage solutions
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform preferred)
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance frameworks in cloud environments
- Experience supporting application onboarding and cloud adoption at scale
- Familiarity with cost optimization and cloud financial management (FinOps)
- Experience integrating solutions into CI/CD pipelines
Desired Qualifications - Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of data lifecycle management, backup, and archival strategies
- Experience with Kubernetes and container storage integrations
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools
- Background in large enterprise or regulated environments
