Qualifications

  • Current CA RN license required.

  • PALS certification required for Emergency Department roles.
  • Additional unit-specific certifications may be necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Direct PCA activities to ensure effective patient care.
  • Synthesize patient information to inform care planning.
  • Assess patients to determine their needs and status.
  • Plan and implement care interventions based on assessments.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments.
  • Execute the treatment plan as directed by medical orders.
  • Document patient progress and evaluate outcomes regularly.

Overview

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directingPCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching ofpatients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient carestandards are incorporated into all clinical activities.
