Full Job Description
Role Overview

Linktree is evolving from a link-in-bio tool to the place creators and businesses run everything - a control center that helps them understand what's working across platforms and decide what to do next, with intelligence and guidance built on their own data. We're scaling the design team across several experience pillars, and we hire versatile Staff designers with real range and a clear spike, then place them where they'll have the most impact.

Why This Role Matters

A consumer product at this scale is made or broken by design. The hard part isn't producing screens; it's the judgment to frame an ambiguous problem, decide what's genuinely worth building, and carry it through to something shipped and polished. This role exists to hold that bar: a versatile designer with real range and a true spike, whose taste and standards raise the craft of everyone around them.

What You'll Do

  • Own a core surface or problem area end to end - from framing the problem to shipping high-craft work.
  • Set direction and raise the quality bar around you, not just ship your own screens.
  • Work the full range of the craft: product thinking, interaction and visual design, and prototyping to production fidelity.
  • Partner closely with PM, engineering, research, and design systems.
  • Use AI natively in how you explore, prototype, and ship - and help push our practice forward.
  • Lead through influence, lifting the craft of the designers around you

What We're Looking For

  • Range with a spike - a versatile product designer who's genuinely great at something, with a portfolio that shows both.
  • Staff-level scope - you set direction and raise the bar for more than your own work.
  • AI as part of how you work (a baseline for us), with the depth to move our practice forward.
  • Low ego, high collaboration - your craft serves the product; you make the people around you better.
  • Systems thinking - you design patterns that scale across surfaces and teams.
  • Sharp product judgment; empathy for creators and the creator economy is a plus.

Your depth - and your range

We hire for both. Your spike is what you're known for; your range is the judgment to frame problems, the taste to know what's worth building, and the ability to work well outside your comfort zone when the problem calls for it. The strongest candidates are strong product designers first.

Why Join Linktree

  • Be part of a rapidly growing company that's shaping the future of how people connect online.
  • Contribute to a product that impacts millions of users worldwide, driving innovation in digital experiences.
  • Shape the user experience for one of the most popular platforms globally, impacting millions of users.
  • Be part of a collaborative and inclusive culture that values diversity and innovation.
  • Enjoy competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements, and robust professional development opportunities.

Linktree is committed to providing a fair and competitive compensation package including cash, equity, and benefits. The base salary offered for this role is targeted at $210,000 - $250,000 for roles based in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Final offers depend on multiple factors including location, experience, expertise, and role scope, and may vary from the range listed.

P.S. If you don't tick every box in this listing, please don't rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes - so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button!
