PHARMACIST to join our
HOUGHTON PHARMACY team!
The Pharmacist Specialist serves as a specialist in a selected area of pharmaceutical care with the goal being the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective use of drugs and information to achieve outcomes that improve patient quality of life.
Our pharmacy greatly values patient experience and provides thorough medication education and patient consultations. As a teaching hospital, our pharmacists have exceptional opportunities to interact and help develop pharmacy students as they pursue their education.
HOURS: Full Time; 0.8 FTE or 64 hours per pay period. Day Shift. Occasional weekend.
Experience/Qualifications- Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current Pharmacist License: MI
- A minimum of three years' experience desired in outpatient pharmacy or health system pharmacy practice to enhance and develop skills.
- Knowledge of medication therapy management is beneficial.
- Experience with Epic, beneficial.
- Knowledge of or experience with Meds to Beds, beneficial.
- Developed communication skills for patient consultations.
- Membership in the American Pharmacists Associate (APhA)
