Job DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Staff Operations Officer (SOO) to support operational training activities through planning, coordination, student support, and instructional assistance. This position serves as a key liaison between instructors, students, and program leadership while helping ensure training events are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate combines operational experience with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for mentoring future intelligence professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily training activities, schedules, and operational support.
- Track course milestones, action items, and administrative requirements.
- Support instructors in the preparation and execution of training events.
- Assist with student engagement, evaluations, and feedback collection.
- Coordinate communication between stakeholders and training staff.
- Maintain detailed records, reports, and course documentation.
- Provide subject matter expertise during operational exercises as needed.
- Contribute to curriculum improvements and instructional development.
- Support outreach, planning, and coordination across training teams.
Required Skills- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
- Certified Staff Operations Officer (SOO).
- Exceptional organizational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Field operational experience.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to coordinate complex activities.
- Interest in instructing, mentoring, and educating others.
Desired Skills- Experience recruiting and handling HUMINT assets.
- Familiarity with UTS concepts and methodologies.
- Previous instructional or facilitation experience.
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community training programs.
- Operational planning and program management experience.
Additional DetailsFusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:
- Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the Customer
- Relevant education, certifications, and training
- Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
- Alignment with the position's responsibilities
- Additional specialized skills
