As a full-stack software engineer at ATG you will be a part of a collaborative agile team that is focused on delivering high value, high performance features to our customers through a high-transaction e-commerce web application. You understand that quality is something that is everyone's responsibility. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering representatives to make significant enhancements to our site that will improve the customer experience. Your team is expected to take ownership of the products you work on and actively embrace improving how you achieve outcomes. You will have great opportunities to grow as ATG continues to expand, integrate, and build new products.

Key Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
Lead design and delivery of new features and systems, from technical approach through production.
Set and raise the bar for code quality, architecture, and engineering patterns; model those standards in your own work.
Guide technical decision-making with clear trade-offs, so the team can move with confidence.
Collaborate early with teammates and stakeholders to shape scope, stories, and acceptance criteria.
Multiply the team's impact by mentoring, pairing, and unblocking less senior engineers.
Review code and designs with an eye toward teaching, consistency, and long-term maintainability-not only correctness.
Champion automated testing, observability, and operational ownership so work stays healthy in production.
Document and communicate technical direction, decisions, and lessons learned across the team.
Help drive Kubernetes, CI/CD, and related platform improvements that make the whole team faster and safer.
Help team adopt AI SDLC

What you need for success:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
5+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency in one or more server-side languages (e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP).
Comfort working in a GNU Linux/Unix environment.
Familiarity with one or more relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres) and solid knowledge of SQL.
Client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience building for different audiences (e.g. internationalization, accessibility).
Interest in learning new technologies, including AI-assisted / prompt-driven development, and new languages as needed.
A customer-focused approach.
Expert debugging skills, with the ability to help others diagnose and resolve issues.

Auction Technology Group is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The base pay for this role goes up to $205,000 Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
