About the roleBackend engineers at fomo work on a little bit of everything across all areas of the business - from crypto infra to social network scaling. Some things our engineers spend time thinking about:
- Trade execution and infrastructure
- Onchain data ingestion and portfolio tracking
- Social network content recommendation engines
- Analytics data ingestion and analysis
- Infrastructure scaling and optimization
Our stack is mainly a TypeScript/Go microservices architecture (with a little bit of Rust).
Engineers at fomo aren't constrained to any specific area - while this is primarily a backend opening, we encourage our backend engineers to contribute to the frontend when it makes sense (and vice-versa).
This role is in-person in NYC. We have a strong in-person culture and just moved into a new spacious office in Soho.
Ideal candidate- Staff+ level engineer (6+ years of experience), able to come up with and execute on plans autonomously
- Has experience building in crypto (Solana or EVM experience preferred)
- Full-stack (React) experience is a plus
Personal crypto trading experience is a plus - everyone on our team trades, and it is what lets our product stand out amongst the competition.
