Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active SLP license in Virginia
Minimum of 2 years of speech therapy experience, preferably in home healthcare
Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
CPR Certification
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Responsibilities
Provide home-based speech therapy to patients with communication, swallowing, or cognitive difficulties
Collaborate with a home health team to implement patient care plans
Evaluate patients' communication, swallowing, and cognitive processing abilities
Document patient assessments and progress, ensuring therapy goals are achieved
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises focused on articulation and fluency
Educate patients and families on therapy goals and self-care practices
