Full Job Description
Major Duties :1. Development of a comprehensive personal and financial wealth profile on the client and the client’s family including identification of wealth related life goals in collaboration with Lead Relationship Manager, if any.
2. Design and implement, in collaboration with the client’s professional advisors and Northern partners, a wealth plan integrating wealth management, wealth transfer and tax efficiency goals. Collaborate with Regional Wealth Advisor in design and modelling of wealth plans for ultra-high net worth clients where a Regional Wealth Advisor is engaged.
3. Work in close collaboration with the Portfolio Manager, Regional Wealth Advisor, Trust Advisor, Banker and other Northern Trust professionals in the implementation of the client’s wealth plan.
4. Monitor and periodically update client wealth plan.
5. Active assistance in the sales process and identification of opportunities to expand client relationships through the introduction of new Northern Trust products and services.
6. Serve as a mentor to Associate Wealth Advisors and Wealth Advisors.
7. Actively engage in cultivation of professional advisor relationships, including attendance at and participation in professional conferences and professional advisor networks.
8. Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function
9. As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
10. Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
11. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities
12. Conducts preliminary analysis
13. Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management
14. Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas
Knowledge :Strong knowledge of wealth transfer planning, taxation, estate planning solutions, wealth management products and services usually acquired through extensive work related experience with high/ultra-high net worth clients in financial services, law or consulting. Broad based technical and analytical skills in wealth planning, wealth transfer, tax, philanthropy, fiduciary practice, asset location and preservation and related disciplines. Strong interpersonal skills and proactive consultative orientation.
Experience :5-7 years wealth planning experience working with high/ultra-high net worth individuals and families in a comprehensive capacity; advanced educational and professional designations including CFP, JD, MBA and similar evidence of advanced learning and professional consulting qualification desired.
Salary Range:
$189,290 - 331,200 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
