About the Role: At Hyperscience, we transform how enterprise organizations work by applying AI and automation to mission-critical document processes. Reliable, high-granularity customer data is essential to delivering value to our customers and driving informed strategic decisions across our product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
As a Senior Technical Program Manager for Data, you will serve as the operational and strategic anchor for our Data Foundations initiatives. In this role, you will combine technical program management rigor with product discovery practices, dedicating approximately 60-70% of your focus to cross-functional program execution and 30 - 40% to product scoping and customer use-case analysis. You will lead cross-team execution without direct authority, operationalize platform health assessments, and shape product telemetry into trusted insights with a clear path to building data-first capabilities directly into the Hyperscience platform.
Key Responsibilities:- End-to-End Program Ownership: Lead enterprise data initiatives across product telemetry, platform health metrics, and modern analytics infrastructure from inception through broad organizational adoption and enablement sessions.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate across Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Operations to resolve technical dependencies and drive timely delivery without direct reporting lines.
- Product & Technical Scoping: Author detailed technical requirements, user stories, and execution roadmaps that translate complex business needs into deliverable milestones.
- Data Architecture & Reliability: Partner with engineering teams to scale pipeline reliability, improve data event streaming, and establish clear service level agreements.
- Governance & Standardization: Establish reliable data governance frameworks, unified data definitions, and write requirements for automated anomaly detection.
- Delivery Operations: Implement transparent intake processes and milestone tracking, conduct team meetings and regular stakeholder updates to identify risks early and ensure predictable delivery.
Required Qualifications:- Technical Program Experience: Demonstrate 5 -8 years of technical program management experience successfully delivering complex, multi-team data programs in high-growth technology environments.
- Hands-On Data Literacy: Write proficient SQL queries independently to explore schemas, validate datasets, and investigate anomalies without waiting on engineering support.
- Modern Data Stack Knowledge: Apply foundational understanding of modern cloud data architectures, including tools like Snowflake, dbt, or Fivetran.
- AI Tool Fluency: Utilize AI-assisted developer utilities, such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot, to accelerate analytical workflows and technical problem-solving.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both executive leaders and software engineers while steering cross-functional alignment.
- Educational Foundation: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus Qualifications:- Product Management Exposure: Bring practical experience conducting customer discovery, authoring requirement documents, and developing multi-quarter product roadmaps.
- Data Engineering Background: Leverage past experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence prior to technical program management.
- Python Proficiency: Ability to conduct exploratory analyses and lightweight automation workflows using Python.
- Governance Expertise: Navigate regulatory compliance, data privacy standards, and enterprise data cataloging programs.
- Industry Certifications: Hold recognized professional credentials such as PMP, PMI-ACP, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or Snowflake SnowPro.
