Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) to join an established government technology organization supporting enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives for a fully onsite contract opportunity based out of Fort Meade, MD. The Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) will provide advanced administration across multi-platform server environments while supporting compliance and security programs.
Responsibilities of the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) include:
• Administer and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux server environments.
• Support vulnerability assessment, compliance initiatives, and security remediation efforts.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance.
• Monitor system health and respond to incidents impacting infrastructure availability.
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve performance, security, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux) include:
• 10+ years of systems administration experience.
• Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience utilizing tools such as Nessus, Splunk, or similar security platforms.
• Active Security+ CE certification or higher.
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance.
Compensation for the Sr. System Administrator (Windows & Linux):
Salary Range: $170,000-$210,000/year (USD)
