OpportunityThe Sr Strategic Intelligence Analyst conducts research and analysis of markets, competitors, consumer trends, and external factors to provide insights that support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and informed business decision-making. This role combines market research, competitive intelligence, trend analysis, and strategic insight generation to support enterprise growth initiatives, investment decisions, and M&A activities.
Working closely with leaders across the business, this individual will transform complex market, competitor, customer, and industry information into actionable recommendations that strengthen business performance and long-term competitive advantage. This role also serves as a key strategic partner to the M&A team by providing market and competitive perspectives throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesCompetitive & Market Intelligence- Support the maintenance and enhancement of competitive intelligence resources, reports, and monitoring tools. Monitor and analyze competitors, market dynamics, customer and channel developments, consumer trends, and relevant economic and geopolitical forces to Identify competitive opportunities and risks that could impact business performance in a timely manner.
- Analyze and triangulate information from market and product databases, syndicated reports, and other internal and external sources.
- Develop working knowledge of competitors, products, pricing, market trends, and industry developments.
- Develop and maintain competitor profiles, market landscapes, and strategic watchlists.
- Translate findings into clear recommendations and business implications.
Strategic Decision Support- Conduct research and analysis to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
- Use trend analysis to identify emerging developments, potential impacts, and considerations for Kohler.
- Develop executive-ready briefings, presentations, and decision-support materials.
- Partner and support business leaders by providing market analysis and competitive insights to inform decision-making.
M&A Intelligence Support- Support acquisition screening, target mapping, market assessments, diligence activities, competitive benchmarking, precedent transaction and comparable company analysis.
- Provide market and competitive insights that strengthen acquisition and growth strategies.
- Identify emerging markets, capabilities, and adjacency opportunities aligned with Kohler's long-term objectives.
Cross-Functional Partnership- Collaborate with teams across Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Product Development, Consumer Insights, Technology, and Business Leadership to translate complex findings into insights and recommendations for strategic planning and immediate action.
- Prepare and deliver clear, executive-ready presentations on major competitors, market developments, and strategic implications.
- Serve as a trusted resource for competitive and strategic intelligence across the enterprise.
Skills/Requirements - Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, corporate strategy, management consulting, finance, M&A, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable business insights.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills with the ability to think on your feet and communicate ideas logically and succinctly.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business research tools.
- Familiarity with techniques used to gather and analyze market, company, customer, and consumer data.
- Experience with AI-enabled research and analysis tools preferred.
- Ability to create structure within ambiguity, manage multiple priorities, and pivot as business needs evolve.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting strategic planning, corporate development, or M&A initiatives.
- Experience working within a global organization.
- Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated interest in continuous learning.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, consumer products, hospitality, industrial, or related industries.

This means you'll have access to your applicable benefit programs from your first day on the job, with no waiting period. The salary range for this position is $92,400 - $141,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
