AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations - from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

As a Sr. Software Development Manager in the AWS Neuron SDK organization you will lead a team that develops the components and libraries that enable users to develop and optimize AI models on Trainium and Inferentia accelerators.
You will work closely with teams across the Neuron organization and with ML model developers and users to enable the Neuron SDK to deliver best performance and usability on top AI models.
Key job responsibilities
Responsible for the full life cycle of developing and releasing components of the AWS Neuron SDK to support the Trainium and Inferentia accelerators.
Develop and grow and adapt your team to meet the needs of the rapidly changing AI software ecosystem.
A day in the life
You will work with the executive leadership and other senior management and technical leaders to define strategic directions and deliver new capabilities to ML model developers and users. You will solve challenges facing current users to enable the best performance on the latest accelerators.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of software development experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
