Job Title: Senior Scientist, Flow Cytometry, Cellular Biomarker
This is a fully onsite role based at our customer's site in
Collegeville, PA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
Job Summary:As a Sr Scientist you will be responsible for working
The Senior Scientist will perform routine testing of clinical samples using multiparameter flow cytometry to support client programs. Responsibilities include processing human specimens, thawing and counting PBMCs, preparing antibody cocktails, staining cells, acquiring samples on flow cytometers such as the Cytek Aurora, analyzing and interpreting data, and documenting results in accordance with approved procedures. The role requires strict adherence to laboratory safety, data integrity, quality, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with the team to deliver accurate and timely results.
Key responsibilities:- Clinical Sample Testing
- Perform routine flow cytometry testing of clinical samples in support of the client portfolio.
- Thaw PBMCs and perform cell counts.
- Prepare cells and antibody cocktails for flow cytometry staining.
- Acquire samples on the Cytek Aurora flow cytometer.
- Analyze flow cytometry data using OMIQ software.
Education and experience:- Sr. Scientist: Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar and Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4+ years') OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years') OR PhD
- Must have previous lab experience from either industrial or academic research environments
- Must be comfortable working with human fluids, such as whole blood
- Must have experience with Flow cytometry sample processing
- Must have experience with Flow cytometry instrument
In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
