Sr. Sales Manager, PVD Equipment - USA

Summary

The Sr. Sales Manager of PVD equipment will develop and seek out sales within the Americas through all communication channels including conferences, social media, personal connections, and cold calls. This is a full-time exempt position.

Education and Experience
  • 5-10 years of equipment sales experience for PVD vacuum systems, primarily related to New Energy, Smart Glass, and/or Semiconductor applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or business field; or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills with excellent skills in the English language and grammar.
  • Work with Manager to continue development path.
  • Reports to TF Department/Unit Head.


Job Responsibility
  • Responsible for budget ownership and delivering on targets.
  • Drive equipment sales in the Americas.
  • Contribute to the development of customer strategic plans.
  • Forecast demand and revenue from assigned accounts and other potential sales.
  • Provide feedback to Business Development and R&D for disruptive technologies or improvements to existing tool product lines.
  • After order receipt, follow through with coordination of project management regarding order entry through installation and performance of the tool. Ensuring customer expectations are achieved or exceeded.
  • Maintain list of potential sales and sales received.
  • Support Marketing and Technology departments for providing market intelligence with win/loss reports.
  • Maintain regular visits to customer accounts in order to harness personal relationships with principal contacts for customer retention and growing accounts.
  • Will facilitate and negotiate equipment purchase contracts.
  • Represent the company at trade conferences and promote products to obtain sales.
  • Maintaining effective communication levels while fostering team building.
  • Ensures adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
  • Works closely and coordinates between Customers, Engineering, Accounting, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Aftermarket and Project Management with minimal oversight to achieve project milestones


Skills
  • Ability to work globally across several countries for manufacturing. This includes conference calls in the days and evening and/or international travel.
  • Familiarity with solar and semiconductor equipment is a plus.
  • Good understanding and interpretation of legal contracts.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs on a beginner level, especially Excel Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
  • One who possesses a continuous improvement mindset and challenges the norm is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive and cooperative attitude while interfacing with customers and colleagues.
  • Self-sufficiently performs a wide range of complex duties under minimal guidance from the department manager.
  • Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function as directed by the department manager.
  • Solid ability to listen for opportunities and client needs.


Position Location
  • Remote; working with teams' on US east/west coast, Europe, and China


Travel
  • Travel to customer sites alone or as part of a team, and to Vital locations in Germany/China.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a passport and other documentation as required for international travel.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time worldwide to customer or other Vital sites.


Physical Requirements
  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 8-12 hours per day.
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
  • Will lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work requirements.
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Must be able to fly both domestically and internationally.
