Full Job Description
The Sr Reliability Engineer is a self-directed equipment reliability continuous improver. The Sr Reliability Engineer will work closely with Operations and Maintenance to identify and implement improvements to the design and maintenance processes. The Sr Reliability Engineer acts as a self-directed equipment reliability improver and problem solver. Sr Reliability Engineer identifies high impact equipment reliability issues, drives Root cause analysis, owns the resolution of corrective actions, updates spare parts, work SOPs, PM details as needed to ensure solutions are completed and properly replicated. Sr Reliability Engineer defines, leads and implements equipment reliability improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be an experienced results oriented, self-directed, action oriented equipment reliability improver. Successful candidates must also be process driven, experienced with SAP, and have a knowledgeable understanding of process flow and value streams with 7-10 years of experience in Equipment reliability improvement and engineering. Sr. Reliability Engineer Your Tasks Accountable for the resolution of high impact Equipment availability and Equipment reliability improvements. Lead individually and teams as needed to resolve equipment availability and equipment reliability improvements. Use data to identify high impact equipment availability and equipment reliability Improvements. Perform root cause analysis and resolve corrective actions Have a focus on resolving equipment availability problems Develop engineering solutions to recurrent failures and problems affecting plant availability. Provide engineering support for troubleshooting, define the appropriate preventive maintenance measures, and support planned shutdowns. Define, in cooperation with production, the appropriate operational parameters to monitor to ensure maximum equipment lifetime. Collaborate with suppliers as need to improve reliability and maintainability of plant equipment. Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and technical staff. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. At least 7-10 years of experience in a reliability engineering role or related technical/engineering field. Demonstrated Knowledge of common reliability tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), SPC, RCA. Prefer experience with Six Sigma, Lean, and other process improvement methodologies. Strong technical engineering skills (mechanical, electrical, industrial, and materials). Basic understanding of predictive technologies (vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, motor analysis, ultrasonics, alignment). Strong project management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in conducting data analysis and statistical tools. Demonstrated ability to work in and through teams at all levels of the workforce. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus. Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS. Must be action oriented Must be self-directed Must have proven problem-solving skills and high level of independence (in planning, organization, execution, and control). Must be willing and physically able to work in varying cold and heat situations. Could have times that are prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Ability to travel throughout the facility as required to conduct audits and make observations Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas. Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally if requested.
