Senior Radar EngineerOASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer to support our customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities- Conduct radar system analyses, investigate customer-reported issues through detailed root-cause evaluation and resolution, translate complex tactical radar algorithms into simplified real-time-capable representations, and prepare documentation for technical presentations to users and project leadership.
- Create analytical tools using MATLAB or Python and mentor junior team members to support consistency, interoperability, and best practices across tool development.
- Work on-site daily at a government customer location as part of a multi-contractor team, collaborating frequently with industry partners and government personnel.
Required Skills: • Strong background in radar system design, analysis, and operation
• Experience in reverse engineering
• Proficiency in developing software tools
• Ability to operate Hardware-in-the-Loop systems for radar model verification and validation
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, preferably in Java
• Ability to read and interpret ADA code
• Experience using Git for version control
• Capability to maintain, evaluate, and improve existing codebases
• Strong technical writing skills for proposals and instructional documentation
• Familiarity with AGILE development methodologies
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline, however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree. 9+ years of experience is desired for this role.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
