Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Sr. Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the project's Quality Management System (QMS). This role works closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure quality requirements, regulatory standards, and project procedures are consistently followed and documented.
What You'll Do Here:- Verify calibration status of geometric machines, devices, and equipment.
- Ensure subcontractor quality checklists are properly utilized and implemented on site.
- Review subcontractor documentation for compliance with project, CoH, MTO, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor quality control processes and compliance with project procedures.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality surveillance activities to verify compliance with approved inspection and testing requirements.
- Review and maintain quality records and documentation.
- Oversee subcontractor submissions, including restoration checklists, U-fill tickets, asphalt truck tickets, backfill records, and supporting quality documentation.
- Support document control processes through repository and workflow management systems.
- Prepare and conduct surveillance audits of subcontractors.
- Support internal and external audits by collecting evidence and documenting findings.
- Track audit findings and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
- Identify and report non-conformances to the Quality Manager.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Monitor corrective actions through to completion.
- Support quality training initiatives and promote quality best practices.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives to enhance consistency and reduce errors.
- Support preparation and presentation of lessons learned sessions across the project team.
- Compile quality metrics and performance data.
- Prepare quality reports identifying trends, recurring issues, and recommend improvement opportunities.
What You Bring to the Team:- 5-10 years of experience supporting quality assurance programs on construction sites.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Certified Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015.
- Strong understanding of quality documentation and document control requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, managing non-conformances, and supporting corrective actions.
- Experience using document repositories, workflow platforms, and electronic quality management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
- Experience on major infrastructure, transit, or heavy civil construction projects is considered an asset.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent designation is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of MTO and municipal construction quality requirements is considered an asset.
- Availability to work fully in-person 5 days per week.

The expected pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
