Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Purchasing Data Specialist is a global, cross-functional role responsible for advancing data governance, process standardization, reporting automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the Purchasing organization. This position plays a critical role in establishing scalable data models, optimizing SAP-based purchasing processes, and delivering actionable business insights that support data-driven decision-making across the enterprise. The successful candidate will lead global efforts in purchasing data management, reporting automation, process harmonization, and the implementation of innovative technologies, including AI-powered solutions, to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the global standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP purchasing processes, with a focus on Materials Management (MM), reporting workflows, and system integrations.
• Analyze, harmonize, and maintain global ERP data structures and master data models to ensure consistency, transparency, and accuracy across systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain global reporting solutions and dashboards utilizing SAP, Power BI, and other analytics tools to transform data into actionable business insights.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, including KPI definitions, reporting methodologies, and data ownership frameworks across functions and regions.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities for reporting, analytics, and audit-related processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and data reliability.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Purchasing and IT teams, translating business requirements into system enhancements and coordinating successful solution implementation.
• Drive global process harmonization initiatives by conducting root cause analyses, resolving process and data inconsistencies, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Lead the evaluation, design, and implementation of AI-enabled solutions to improve process automation, enhance data quality, and support scalable decision-making capabilities.
• Support the enhancement of existing systems while identifying and deploying new technologies that strengthen Purchasing operations and analytical capabilities.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years experience working with SAP, particularly Materials Management (MM), ERP environments, and reporting structures.
• Demonstrated expertise in data analytics, dashboard development, and business reporting solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of purchasing processes, procurement systems, and global supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills within global organizations.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, system integration, and data mapping within SAP and related systems.
• Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices.
• Experience with purchasing analytics, spend analysis, reporting tools, and emerging AI technologies.
• Understanding of procurement performance metrics, supplier spend management, and cost savings methodologies.
