Full Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation (ENG Project Manager 3) to join our Chicago, IL team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and consultants.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met on schedule.

Strategic Planning & Oversight
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all roadway design and construction activities align with jurisdictional standards.
  • Oversee multiple phases of roadway projects• from conceptual planning to final design and construction.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead presentations, public hearings, and meetings to communicate project goals and updates.
  • Address concerns and incorporate feedback into project development.

Financial & Contractual Management
  • Manage contracts, billing, and collections to ensure project profitability.
  • Track expenditures and maintain strict cost control throughout the project life cycle.

Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar required.
  • Requires a minimum of 15 years of professional experience.
  • Requires 5+ years of project management and client interface experience.

Technical requirements:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Required, Illinois PE preferred or the ability to get within 6 months.
  • Must have strong oral and technical writing skills.
  • Must have familiarity with MicroStation and preferably ORD experience.
  • Familiarity with IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and/or CDOT rules and regulations.

Other miscellaneous qualities:
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.
