Senior Project ManagerWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact projects and drive successful outcomes for our clients. The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality expectations while upholding SSFM's commitment to innovation and community impact.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans to ensure successful outcomes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, agency partners, and internal teams, ensuring timely communication and alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and adapt to evolving project conditions.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment while providing mentorship and professional guidance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements, including local Hawai'i agency standards.
- Lead post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and industry best practices.

Minimum QualificationsEducation Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Planning, or a related field from an accredited university. Licensure
- Active Professional Engineer (PE), Structural Engineer (SE), Registered Architect (RA), or AICP license strongly preferred.
- Candidates actively pursuing licensure may also be considered.
Certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred or reuired within 6 months of employment.
- Additional certifications such as CCM or DOT Certification of Qualification may be required based on project type.
Experience
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and develop high-performing project teams.
- Experience working with Hawai'i regulatory agencies, permitting authorities, or infrastructure programs preferred.
Technical Knowledge- In-depth understanding of engineering, architectural, planning, or construction management principles.
- Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Knowledge of Hawai'i-specific permitting and agency review processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with project management software, reporting tools, and collaborative platforms.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000annually, commensurate with experience, licensure, and demonstrated leadership. SSFM provides multiple components that enhance total compensation:
