Full Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead our Commercial Operations Project Management team and take ownership of our most complex, high-visibility projects. In this role, you'll manage and develop a team of Project Managers while personally overseeing the portfolio of large-impact jobs - knowing where every major project stands, keeping work on schedule and on budget, and bringing the right people together the moment something starts to slip.
Our largest projects span multiple teams, including Customer Experience, Application Engineering, Channel Account Partners, and Credit Analysis. You won't manage those teams directly, so success in this role comes from influence, clear communication, and raising risks early - before they become delivery problems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead and Develop the PM Team
Hire, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers, and manage team performance in partnership with leadership and HR.
Assign projects and balance workloads so every large-impact job is well-resourced and has a clear owner.
Establish a consistent project management methodology, templates, and reporting cadence across the team.
Build bench strength through training, cross-training, and support for PMP certification.
Own the Large-Impact Project Portfolio
Maintain hands-on visibility into our largest and most complex jobs, including projects that:
Require coordination across multiple functional teams
Carry significant revenue or margin impact
Serve Data Center, Education (K-12 and higher ed), or Healthcare customers, where schedule, compliance, and reputational stakes are high
Confirm that scope and requirements are documented, schedules and milestones are realistic, and every dependency has a named owner.
Track budget, schedule, and resources on an ongoing basis, and step in quickly - reassigning resources, resequencing work, or convening stakeholders - when a project is at risk.
Drive Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for status on large-impact projects across partner teams.
Identify risks and blockers early and escalate them to the right leader with a clear ask and a recommended path forward.
Run recurring cross-functional status meetings and maintain a shared, transparent view of at-risk projects.
Report with Clarity
Own consolidated status reporting for large-impact projects, leading with key metrics (schedule variance, budget variance, open risks) and supporting with concise narrative.
Prepare executive-ready updates that are accurate and stand on their own.
Proactively flag projects with customer or leadership visibility risk so there are no surprises.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
Delivery: Large impact projects delivered on schedule and within budget, with minimal customer credits or concessions.
Team: A high-performing engaged PM team that is meeting utilization targets and growing through training and certification.
Collaboration: Risks surfaced and escalated quickly, and strong working relationships with partner teams.
Visibility: Timely, accurate reporting that leadership and customers can trust.
