Senior Product Manager II

About the Role

The Senior Product Manager II will be responsible for driving the next generation of Bankers Almanac products and experiences. This individual will lead strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, customer experience, usability research, workflow optimization, and product innovation. Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, they will identify opportunities to solve complex customer challenges through the thoughtful application of data, automation, user-centered design principles, and emerging technologies where appropriate.

This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and workflows, combined with the ability to translate insights into intuitive, impactful solutions that deliver measurable value. The successful candidate will leverage customer research, product analytics, market intelligence, and direct customer engagement to shape product strategy, influence roadmap priorities, and guide investment decisions. They will be equally comfortable defining long-term vision and driving day-to-day execution in a fast-moving environment.

The Senior Product Manager II will lead initiatives spanning new product development, feature innovation, workflow enhancements, and customer experience improvements across the Bankers Almanac platform. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional leadership, a passion for understanding customer problems, and the ability to bring together technology, data, and design to create differentiated solutions that drive adoption, engagement, commercial growth, and long-term customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and execute product strategies that support revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain product vision, roadmap priorities, business cases, and success metrics aligned with customer and market needs.
  • Translate customer, market, and business insights into actionable product plans and investment recommendations.
  • Drive prioritization decisions that balance customer value, commercial opportunity, technical feasibility, and strategic goals.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market reach, strengthen product differentiation, and improve customer outcomes.

Customer Discovery & Product Innovation
  • Lead customer discovery activities, including customer interviews, workflow analysis, usability testing, design validation, and feedback programs.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviors, workflows, and pain points to inform product strategy and decision-making.
  • Partner closely with customers and internal stakeholders to identify unmet needs and emerging market opportunities.
  • Use customer insights, market research, and product analytics to continuously refine product direction and roadmap priorities.
  • Champion customer-centered design principles to ensure products are intuitive, valuable, and easy to adopt.

Product Development & Delivery
  • Partner with engineering, design, data, and business teams to define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact product capabilities.
  • Drive new product development, feature innovation, workflow enhancements, and customer experience improvements across the portfolio.
  • Lead experimentation, pilot programs, proof-of-concepts, and iterative development efforts to validate opportunities and accelerate learning.
  • Ensure product requirements are clearly defined and effectively communicated to cross-functional teams.
  • Drive successful execution from concept through launch while maintaining a focus on customer value and business outcomes.

Program Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead cross-functional planning and execution across multiple product initiatives and workstreams.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, timelines, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful delivery.
  • Foster alignment across product, technology, design, sales, marketing, and other business functions.
  • Influence and motivate teams without direct authority to achieve shared objectives and deliver results.

Product Performance & Growth
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to customer adoption, engagement, retention, satisfaction, and business performance.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate product success and guide future investment decisions.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and business reviews that communicate product performance and opportunities for growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer value, increase adoption, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a trusted partner to business leaders, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • 6-8+ years of experience in Product Management or a related product leadership role, with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful software, data, or digital products.
  • Proven success leading customer-centered product discovery efforts, including customer interviews, workflow analysis, usability testing, journey mapping, design validation, and Voice of Customer programs.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and product design, with experience translating customer insights into intuitive, engaging, and high-value product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify unmet customer needs and convert them into commercially successful products, features, and enhancements that drive adoption, retention, and growth.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, data, and business functions to bring innovative solutions from concept to market.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to guide product strategy.
  • Experience managing complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving business requirements.
  • Experience working within Agile product development environments and leading iterative product delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success driving experimentation, continuous learning, and product improvement through data-driven decision making and customer feedback.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering innovative software, data, or platform solutions that leverage advanced technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), intelligent automation, AI agents, predictive analytics, or decision intelligence capabilities.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $115,400 - $192,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.If performed in Illinois, the base pay range is $121,200 - $201,900.If performed in Chicago, IL, the base pay range is $126,900 - $211,500.This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
