Job Purpose

As a Sr. Product Designer at Welldoc, you will be involved in the design and development of mobile and web products as part of the growing Product Design team. In this position, you will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Scrum Teams, Developers, Writers and Consultants. You will lead the design strategy to deliver world-class, AI-driven digital health solutions that balance complex user needs with business viability and technical feasibility. Govern and evolve a scalable, enterprise-grade design system that ensures visual and functional harmony across the entire Welldoc portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Design Leadership: Drive the end-to-end design strategy and visual direction for Welldoc's mobile and web products. You will ensure that original, creative designs are grounded in consistent patterns and contribute to a scalable, enterprise-grade design system.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Advocacy: Act as a primary advocate for the user by effectively communicating and justifying complex design decisions to internal leadership and external stakeholders. You will align user-centric solutions with broader business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Project Orchestration: Manage and prioritize multiple high-impact design initiatives, ensuring all critical milestones are met within an ambitious, fast-paced product roadmap.
  • UX Integrity & Quality Assurance: Serve as the final gatekeeper for design quality by reviewing implementation deliverables from development teams. You will provide expert feedback to ensure the final product meets high standards for usability, aesthetic excellence, and accessibility compliance.
  • Technical Specification Mastery: Synthesize complex product requirements into detailed, comprehensive design specifications, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes. These will serve as the definitive blueprint for Engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Partner with Human Factors: Lead the creation of design artifacts-including user flows and decision logs-that support the full product lifecycle. This includes validating new feature sets for continuous product improvement and ensuring all design iterations meet the rigorous standards for regulatory filings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner deeply with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Scrum teams to iterate on complex UX flows and solve sophisticated product challenges in a collaborative, AI-driven environment.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Contribute to the growth of the Product Design team by providing and receiving constructive criticism, fostering a culture of accountability to excellence and continuous improvement


Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in native mobile and web design, demonstrating a track record of high-impact product launches.
  • Mastery of interaction design principles, typography, and complex layout systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC, while actively exploring AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Lovable, Figma AI etc). Lead the Product Team in iterating on complex UX flows for feature enhancements, applying an advanced command of typography, color theory, and layout with a relentless eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and maintain crystal-clear communication within remote teams and with virtual stakeholders, consistently exceeding performance expectations. Ability to influence stakeholders and justify complex design decisions through rigorous reasoning based on UX principles, user research, and deep product intuition. Self-starter with a high level of intellectual curiosity that executes independently and takes incredible pride in their work, willingness, and ability to learn new concepts
  • Deep familiarity with WCAG 2.2 and modern accessibility guidelines, ensuring inclusive design is a core component of the product strategy. A robust portfolio showcasing a sophisticated UX process and end-to-end work samples that demonstrate how your designs solved complex problems and moved business metrics. Appreciation of current and emerging UX trends along with their potential benefits and limitations
  • Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards whilst being pragmatic and delivering at pace against ambitious deadlines
  • Prior experience working in a B2B environment with direct customer interactions (preferred)


Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either, prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.

Required Education
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Information Systems Design).
  • Masters Degree in related field plus additional experience will substitute for Bachelors degree.


Compensation & Benefits

Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and/or dependent care accounts. While the anticipated salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $130,000/year with the expectation that most candidates will fall around the midpoint of the range. Exceptional candidates may exceed the range if education and experience warrant.
