Full Job Description
As a Process Integration Engineer in the Advanced DRAM organization, you will develop the innovative solutions required to produce the most advanced Memory products on the planet! You will work within a team of world-class engineers to drive new technology development and build Micron's cutting-edge next-generation memories. This will require a strong background in materials science and semiconductor device physics, along with a creative mindset and a penchant for out-of-the-box thinking.
Responsibilities:
• Lead technology pathfinding activities to enable state-of-the-art device components, such as charge storage devices, hi-k/metal gate transistors, thin-film transistors (TFTs), among others.
• Design experiments and analyze results, processing silicon and collaborating with the process, materials analysis, device characterization, modeling, reliability, and other teams.
• Evaluate operating and failure mechanisms, sources of noise, and variability, and apply fundamental principles to optimize device performance.
• Develop and integrate brand-new device architectures, from conception on paper through productization in silicon.
• Summarize complex problems and provide direction for continued work, effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Manage project activities on multiple fronts, to address priorities and meet goals on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
• MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related technical field is required, plus 3 years of demonstrated semiconductor industry experience
• A thorough knowledge of mainstream memory technologies such as DRAM, NAND, NOR, & SRAM
• Proficiency with data analysis, DOE, and statistical techniques including theoretical and statistical applications
• Strong functional knowledge of materials science and semiconductor device physics.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor process integration and process development.
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience driving cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar technical field
• Successful collaborations in a dynamic, multi-tasking team environment
• Demonstrated experience in process integration and/or device engineering
• Experience in DRAM or NAND process integration and process development is a plus
