Description About the role
The Senior OD Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for effectively sourcing, prescreening, and interviewing qualified Doctor of Optometry candidates to fill vacancies within our expanding network of offices. This experienced s enior recruiter will be a brand ambassador, providing an exceptional client experience and candidate experience. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition - Optometry , this individual regularly partners with a team of Talent Acquisition Partners, Operational and Professional Service Leaders to identify needs and deliver the highest quality doctor talent available. The ideal candidate must be focused, a strong multi-tasker, and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, to identify exceptional doctor candidates who are aligned to the MED's Purpose Promise, Vision and Values.
This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of either our Raleigh, NC office , with an in-office requirement of two days per week.
You Will
- Attract outstanding and qualified Doctors of Optometry who will deliver a first-class patient experience to their patients and ensure optometric coverage as needed
- Communicate with Professional Services, Regional Field Leaders and other senior level executives during regularly scheduled recruitment meetings and as needed to provide updates and determine recruiting needs/strategies.
- Articulate company's value proposition including culture and benefits, and MyEyeDr.'s Purpose, Promise, Vision and Values to promote MyEyeDr as both the provider and employer of choice.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines and referral relationships with newly hired and tenured MED doctor s, using various sources and creative methods.
- Manage expectations, provide feedback, and propose innovative solutions to operational and clinical leaders.
- Consider optometrist's clinical abilities and practice's demographics and modality when aligning candidates with practice settings.
- Utilize effective recruiting resources and best in class techniques to manage requisitions, place ads, prescreen, interview, and negotiate offers of employment.
- Understand and communicate both current and future staffing needs as well as career path opportunities.
- Collaborate on doctor talent development and retention initiatives.
- Provide up to date information about MyEyeDr. operations and career opportunities to external partners and potential applicants, while carefully observing confidentiality.
- Coordinate and collaborate on enterprise-wide projects, best practices and strategic initiatives to elevate MED recruiting brand and hire a diverse workforce.
- Actively promote the MyEyeDr. Optometrist Referral Program.
- Benchmark competitors and identify best and next practices within professional recruiting
- Create exceptional, differentiated candidate experiences and continually contribute to process enhancements.
- Contribute to the development of recruiting and sourcing strategies to accelerate pipeline and candidate development.
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to job duties.
- Contribute to the planning of the onboarding experience of newly hired doctors s .
- Participate in candidate-facing events including school, CE events, MED doctor dinners, industry events, etc.
- Assist with facilitating candidate travel arrangements for onsite interviews.
- Generate/maintain weekly reports as needed.
- Performs other duties and participates in projects as assigned.
About You
- 7 years Recruiting experience or a combination of 4 years doctor r ecruitment experience + a minimum of 3 years of relevant Optical Industry experience.
- Experience building sustained relationships with Optometry schools required.
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM tools, and recruiting software solutions.
- Experience sourcing candidates through a wide variety of channels to build a robust candidate pipeline and attract top talent.
- Bachelor's degree required; substantive Optical Industry work experience may be substituted
- Formal recruitment training required.
