About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Mortgage Loan Officer to join our Residential Lending team. In this role, you will originate residential mortgage loans by developing and maintaining a strong network of referral sources and cultivating new business opportunities for the Bank. You'll play a critical role in helping customers achieve their dream of homeownership while supporting the Bank's strategic initiatives to grow consumer and residential lending.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively source and develop new mortgage loan business through networking, referrals, community involvement, and marketing efforts.
  • Conduct borrower consultations to assess financial needs, evaluate risk, and recommend appropriate loan products.
  • Guide customers through the mortgage process from application to closing, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of active loans and accurate records using CRM and loan origination systems.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly loan production goals.
  • Engage in persuasive sales activities and cross-promote other Bank products and services.

What you bring:
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree or college coursework preferred.
  • 5+ years of residential lending experience, with at least 3 years in a sales/loan originator capacity.
  • Active NMLS license required.
  • Proven track record of self-sourced mortgage business and established referral network.
  • Experience with Encompass LOS preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of residential loan origination activities and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain standing for long periods (approximately 50% of the time).
  • Occasionally move about the office to access files and equipment.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
  • Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule to accommodate customer needs.
