This role provides strategic and operational leadership acrossEHSS-Assurance, Strategy, Standards, and Operational Excellence (OE)for DePuy Synthes. The Sr. Manager will play a critical role in strengthening global EHSS systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This position has broad impact across the organization, influencing occupational safety, environmental health & sustainability compliance outcomes, and operational performance while partnering closely with cross‑functionaland global teams.
Lead and evolve EHSS Assurance, Strategy, Standards, and Operational Excellence initiatives across the organization.
Establish, deploy, and sustain global standards, policies, and governance models aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using OE, Lean, and Six Sigma principles to improve quality, efficiency, and compliance outcomes.
Partner cross‑functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to embed quality by design and risk‑based decision making.
Lead preparation for and execution of internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring timely remediation and sustained compliance.
Provide people leadership, coaching, and development for quality and OE team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Typically8-10 years of progressive experience in EHSS, or Operational Excellence roles within a regulated industry (medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare preferred).
Strong knowledge ofEHSSsystems, regulatory requirements, and audit processes (e.g., OSHA,ISO, global health authorities).
Provenpeopleleadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $245,000.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
